FREE Chronic Pain Self-Management Program
The University of Victoria and B.C. Health have combined their resources to design a chronic pain program based on extensive research conducted by Stanford University in the U.S. This new program promises to be an excellent source of information for chronic pain patients. It is designed not only for the patients but also for those living with chronic pain patients. The program runs for six weeks and consists of one two and a half hour session each week for a total of fifteen hours. There are both daytime and evening programs.
What is most interesting is that program’s coordinators are all volunteers and that they are persons who are either experiencing chronic pain themselves or working with chronic pain patients.
The program is being hosted by a local rehabilitation company, Back in Motion, and is available at all four Back in Motion Lower Mainland locations.
